By Appointment Only

Please email telluricamplification@gmail.com to setup an appointment for repair. Provide me with information about your amp, and the issue(s) you are experiencing.

I primarily repair vintage pre-1990’s all tube guitar and bass amps. There are some exceptions, including Fender Reissue (Deluxe Reverb, Twin Reverb, Etc.) and Hot Rod, and Blues Jr amplifiers. Solid State and more modern amps will be taken on a case-by-case basis.

My labor rate is $100/hour plus parts. This charge is ONLY for bench time.  I do not charge for testing amps, email communications, burn-ins etc. Typically, amps are billed for 1.5 - 3 hours of labor depending on the issues and originality of the amp. My minimum charge is $100.

I use only quality parts keeping the customers budget in mind. Below are some examples of manufacturers and brands that I use during repairs:

  • Mercury Magnetics Premium Upgrade and Replacement Transformers

  • Sozo Vintage Replacement Capacitors

  • Filter Capacitors from F&T, LCR, and Hayseed Hamfest

  • Sprague Atom and "Orange Drop" Capacitors

  • Mallory 150 Series Film Capacitors

  • Silver mica picofarad value caps

  • High Quality Tube Sockets, Either Ceramic or Belton Micralex Depending on the Amplifier

  • High Quality Jacks from Switchcraft, Neutrik, and Cliff, Depending on the Amplifier

  • Tested and sorted vintage NOS US-made Carbon Composite Resistors (when available and within the budget)

  • Xicon 1/2W and 1W Carbon Composite Resistors

  • Xicon 1/2W and 1W Carbon Film Resistors

  • Potentiometers from CTS, Precision, and Weber

  • Wire may be vintage cloth-covered or Teflon-coated, shielded where necessary, depending on the budget and the degree of vintage authenticity desired by the client

Depending on my workload, it can take 2-4 weeks to receive a repair estimate after drop-off. If you have a deadline, please let me know.

I try to keep total turnaround time at 4-6 weeks, but this can be prolonged due to an extensive backlog, difficult/time-consuming restorations, or parts scarcity. Keep in mind I am one person, and I treat each amp like my own. It can take hours (or days) to get an amp in its best shape.

Upon completion, you will receive an invoice via email. Payment is due immediately. After 5 days, there will be a 3% increase per day until the invoice is paid.

Once I have notified you that your amp is complete, please pick it up within 10 days. Failure to do so will result in a $10/day storage fee. If you are out of town or are unable to retrieve within the 10 days, please let me know!

All repairs are warrantied with parts and labor for 90 days. If there is an issue let me know!
